USS Diodon (SS-349) 1960

Welcome to the USS Diodon in 1960 -- photographs provided by Glenn Boothe S02(SS) to  SO1(SS), Clem Boulter RMSN to RM3(SS), and Don Remily EMFN to EM2(SS) while aboard

Here, I will take you through the 1960 period of our Diodon. 

We will start with the excellent welcome photo below.

Then we see her as a whole boat as she looked then.  Next, we go to where she was in  San Diego, California, to see the Seaman Gang getting the sub ready for Western Pacific (WestPac) cruise and some other shots around the boat in San Diego.

Next, we go the Mid-Pacific Ocean.

After that we are in WestPac, seeing:
1. crew photos on patrol;
2. crew photos in the boat at various times;
3. crew and boat photos in Yokosuka, Japan;
4. crew and boat photo in Atami Bay, Japan;
5. crew and boat photos at Chi Chi Jima island;
