Subject: Fw: 2002 SEADRAGON PRAYER

The following Prayer was written by an ex Seadragon submariner who wanted to remain anonymous.  I think is an excellent Prayer and I wanted to share it with all of you.  I have always respected those that have such a talent to offer an outstanding Prayer as this.  Sounds like something Fr. Aaron would write doesn't it?

God Bless each of you and thank you for your continue support for what we are doing as a base, and for what we will accomplish in the future.

Together we will make a difference.  Respectfully, George.

Capt. John:  Would you please forward to the USS Topeka?  I will see that the Jefferson City gets it.

Abiding Father,

We offer prayer in thanks and ask you to bestow your blessings on us; grant to us the wisdom to accept your gifts with humility. Help us preserve our commitment to serve and defend.

We thank you for the opportunity to live in this country that allows us so many freedoms. We ask for your protection for all those who strive to save our freedoms

We ask that you hold in your hand all who have departed this life in thy faith and love and we ask your special blessing on those who have made for us the supreme sacrifice.

Bless all our shipmates for their comradeship, their loyalty, their courage, their dedication to our ideals and for their devotion.

We give thanks that you in your mercy have brought us to safe harbor and peace. We ask your blessing and protection for those who travel over and under the tempestuous seas and ask that you bring them home safely to their loved ones.

We pray that strength and courage be given to all who work for a world of reason and understanding.

Hear this prayer from our hearts as we ask thee to bless the United States of America — keep it always the home of the brave and the land of the free.

We pray that the blessings of peace be ours, the peace to build and grow and live in harmony and sympathy with others, and to plan for the future with confidence

And finally Almighty Father, we pray that you will grant us grace that we may honor thee and be faithful stewards of thy bounty.

Amen
