I too, was a shipmate of TM2(SS) Wally Levander, as he was my first LPO onboard the USS Dixon AS-37.

Even though he was a bubblehead he provided great leadership abilities and taught me the "sea daddy program." Through his leadership and patience I tried to emulate his ability to get the job done.
