Jim, First off, let me say what a great job you are doing with the web site. Your work is really appreciated by all of the old guys from the Diodon.

I have entered your guest book some months ago. Looks like I should do it again. Some confusion may result in the fact that I use "Jay" as a nickname for James. My nickname on the boat was Sweetpea. I was the youngest man on the boat for a 2-1/2 year period. i.e., The baby of the boat.

Diodon was my first boat and I was on her almost 4 years, Sept 56 to June 60. I qualified in May 57. I was a seaman apprentice when I reported aboard and left a QM2 (SS).

Roger Stern, Thad Sowell & Don Messner have corresponded with me in recent months.  This is totally a result of your Website. I intend to be at the Subvets Inc. National Convention in Sept. It is my understanding that there will be a Diodon Reunion at that time.

Please keep me posted if anything changes. Once more, thanks for the work on the Website.

Jay Everitt.
