USS Diodon (SS-349) Video in 1960, '61 or '62
Since 08-03-02

Updated 10-14-04 with Video links
Provided by Paul "Red Dog" Kimball, describing the video tape he kindly sent to me.
I, Jim Santos, your Webmaster, investigated it's conversion to a web video, and it was done.
Sorry about the poor quality. This VHS is a copy
of a BETA tape made from scratchy 8mm movies.
It seems all the film was shot on WestPac Cruises,
the first part in 1960 and the second in 1961 (or perhaps '62.)
I regret the paucity of shots of crew members. I guess I was
more interested in the surroundings. I've put names in where
I remember, but there's no guarantee the name Is correct.

Kite scene. Pachy had been transferred to USS Spinax by then. He calls me on UQC: "Red Dog, this is Pachy.... Do you see my kite?" Sure enough, there it was. He had tied it to the periscope before they submerged. Shot of Spinax surfacing.
