I was on board the Diodon from April 1955 through June of 1957 (EN2SS). I have just retired and my wife and I are traveling the U.S. in our RV.

Tonight we are in Connecticut and as we came down the freeway through New London I couldn't help but think about having graduated from sub school almost 50 years ago.

The more I thought about it the more I was motivated to get on the web and look up the Diodon site I had visited some years ago.

If there are any members of that crew who visit this site please drop me a note. I would love to hear from you and find out what you have been doing all these years and what you might know about other crew members.

Diodon shipmate? Yes -When/No

Yes. Went aboard in SF in 1955 and was discharged at SF in 1957

Comments:

Went aboard at Hunters Point out of sub school as a SN. Qualified a few months later. Subsequently made the trip to WestPac in 56-57 and got out when the boat went back to SF as an EM2SS.
