Jim

I don't know how to post my recollections of the 1967 WestPac.

Some things that I do remember was that I was in the Aft engineroom when the bearing on #3 engine went south, Netcher had te watch with Edwards. It was the night before we were to leave for WestPac about 5/1/67. I was the Topside Watch and had just been relieved. We fixed the engine in about 2 weeks as I recall.

I also have some very vivid memories of the fire and flooding since I was in the Forward Engineroom repairing #1 engine when the fire broke out. I also stayed on the headset during the first hours of the troubles.
