Diodon shipmate? Yes -When/No

Yes Qualified June, 1967 just prior to getting into Japan. Worked in the engine rooms for Harry Heinline and Gene Drake. Was on the Diodon from 10/66 until 9/68.

Comments:

After leaving the Diodon I went aboard the USS Kamehameha SSBN 642 for about 5 years. I had gone to the Diodon after Nuclear Power School while waiting for a Nuc billet to open up. Lots of fond memories from the Diodon.
