WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced that the president has made the following nominations:

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Kirkland H. Donald has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral. Donald is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for C4I, Resources, Requirements, and Assessments, N6/N8, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Joseph E. Enright has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral. Enright is currently serving as commander, Submarine Group 7, Yokosuka, Japan.

Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Gerald L. Talbot, Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral. Talbot is currently serving as commander, Submarine Group 10, Kings Bay, Ga.

Additionally, Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Dennis M. Dwyer has been nominated for appointment to the grade of rear admiral. Dwyer is currently serving as director for Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C.
