We are still working on getting the Razorback to the US. Our State Department did approve us to get the boat but they put 2 stipulations on the transfer.

One the torpedo tubes have to be wielded shut. We knew about that and had already made arrangements to have that done. The other one was title transfer could not take place until the boat was in the US.

Turkey wants us to take title as soon as we take position of the boat. It’s a catch 22 for us.

Mayor Hays, Both our Senators Pryor and Lincoln and our Representative Snyder have met with the state department a couple of time over the last month to get them to change this requirement. We have already been in touch with Lloyds of London for insurance and planed to cover the tow with an insurance policy. The State department doesn’t want to change their stance. Maybe all of you could call your Senators and Representative and have they put some pressure on the state department.

Mayor Hays is in Turkey right now and is meeting with them to see if we can get them to accept the terms that our State Department requested.

This has thrown everything back and now it’s a wait and see.
