Does this sound familiar? I picked up this article online and was just outraged at at the cruelty thrown at these people and indeed at every soldier the ever wore the cloth. Take a gander at what I choked down with my morning coffee:

Family Of Killed Soldier: Vigil Crowd Threatening
POSTED: 5:48 pm CDT September 9, 2004
UPDATED: 11:02 am CDT September 10, 2004

DALLAS -- A candlelight vigil took place Wednesday night to remember U.S. war dead in Iraq during the week of the 1,000th casualty. One North Texas family whose relative -- Chad Drake -- was killed outside Baghdad on Monday, was among the mourners at Dallas City Hall Plaza.

A family friend said the vigil turned abrasive toward the family members. The friend sent an e-mail message to NBC 5 News that described the alleged treatment some vigil attendees directed at the family.

The family friend's message alleges Drake's mother was "harassed and yelled at, booed and hissed, told her son died for nothing."

Drake's mother reportedly left the event in tears.

The family attended the vigil because they thought it was meant to honor U.S. casualties. The event was organized by the Dallas Peace Center, which opposes the war.

The Drake family says they were upset about the antiwar tenor of the assembled crowd. The director of the Dallas Peace Center said the event was not intended to be an antiwar rally, but said e-mail notifications of the vigil were sent to a broad audience. Because the venue is a public place, he said, a variety of people with various views on the war in Iraq attended.

He also said the event was planned to include political overtones, but the Drake family should have been informed.

The center, however, did issue an apology to the Drake family.

"I want to be clear in issuing an apology to the mother of the recent victim of that war," Lon Burnam, of the Dallas Peace Center, said. "I can certainly understand why she would not feel comfortable in that particular venue with that particular group of people."

Peace Center officials said they believe the Drake family left before the scheduled events started, and the family might not have seen the planned ceremony.

Drake's sister told NBC 5 News that the family thought some of the crowd was hostile, so the family departed the vigil.

The link above will send your mail to the worms that perpetrated this atrocity on an innocent family, please feel free to tell them what YOU think of their low down tactics, I did. Here follows my remarks to them.

I shouldn't be surprised at anything done for the sake of electing Ketchup Lad, I have seen a lot of low blows and dirty antics, I am a Vietnam veteran myself and have dealt with the whiners, criers and doom sayers for a long time, so therefore I am not surprised at anything as I said.

So what do I see in the morning mail? I see a KIA soldier's family humiliated and made the butt of cruel commentary and mob-think reaction. Cat calls telling the family that the speaker was "Glad" their son died.

Are you proud that you drove them away from a place where they had come in good faith to honor their son? You never bothered to explain the "true reason" for your rally which obviously was to demonstrate against the war. These parents came with the understanding that they were attending an honorarium for their son. You fooled them but you're not fooling me.

Did you swell up with your "victory" and boast to your cronies that you're winning the battle to "stop the war," that IS why your're doing this right? to stop the war?

Did you point out to each other that you struck a great blow for your favored son "ketchup lad"? Are you reveling in your victory?

All you have managed to do is wring more tears from a distraught mother who has already shed billions before. Now that's something to be proud of, isn't it?

OK, you had your tiny moment of victory but that is now past. You are now in MY sights and on MY menu and I intend to rip you a brand new one. Let's see how you stack up against someone that's not going to cry or break down in remembrance. Want to go point on point with a real audience not some specially selected twit-group?

No one hates casualties of war more than the soldiers who see it, remember it, and live with it for the rest of their lives. Maybe you see soldiers, any soldiers as representatives of that which you oppose: the war. While it's a grand hallucination that you far corner fringe liberals seem to share that attacking the soldier is the same as attacking the war you even failed in that endeavor. You didn't attack the soldier, you attacked his grieving parents. Very low, very petty and childish behavior one could perhaps expect from a spoiled grade school kid. But then, that's where you have always drawn your battle plans from isn't it, juvenile tricks and name calling from a distance? Well, you hurt innocent people and thought you had done a big thing, you haven't, you have shown instead that you are spineless bile spewing idiots that's lack the backbone to take on someone that can hurt you back. You following me on this? I'm stepping up right now. Now it's MY turn.

So pick your champion and gear him or her up, I'm ready. Let me advise you of a part of my battle plan. I operate a large online newsletter service reaching hundreds of veterans in the community here and abroad. I will take your comments and points to the newsletter and one by one I'm going to stomp the air of them and then folded neatly, either hand them back to you, or cram them down your vicious throats depending on how generous I feel at the moment. I will encourage my readers to lift your scalp at every opportunity and bring your lies and back-stabbing efforts into the light of day. I'm no distraught parent, I am not going anywhere and I cannot be made to run away in tears. You want a fight? You just bought one.

Topic of my first gambit is: What kind of animalistic brain-dead piss ant does it take to insult and bring to tears a grieving family?

The same kind of misguided low life animal that would steal from a church poor box or would look with lust on a small innocent child. Since you have proved yourself as crud and scum of the earth it follows that you would support anything, no holds barred if it advanced your cause. For the record, you have now exposed yourself to your own actions and have proved to be lacking in even the most fundamental elements of humanity and humanness. You have defeated nothing, in fact, there are people who were hovering on the edge of the fence that now, having witnessed your atrocity performed on this innocent family, are solid backers of both the war and of President Bush. Didn't work out like you planned did it? Thank you for the "support," but we didn't really need it. Your agenda speaks for itself. You are all about radical fringe morons who lacking a spine of their own carp negative and hurtful remarks at an innocent family from the safety of an anonymous crowd. Real brave that act. Maybe you can get Ketchup Lad to share one of his phony medals with your rally top man or woman?

We have seen hateful little people like you before and while it may choke us in frustration and gag us with your misdirected and foul mouthed epithets you do NOT scare or discourage us in any way. Don't believe it? Then respond to this letter and I'll run your words in my newsletter then tear you up in public and show what you really are. You are not political activists, you are not soldiers for a greater truth, you are scum. Now, you have any backbone behind your words? You want to fight? Here I am, bring it on.
