Bob,

There was a lot of noise in the media last week and over the weekend about this being the 60th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and as we have learned to expect from our left-leaning media, a lot of it wasn't positive.

The bombing of Nagasaki 3 days later seems to almost be forgotten in all of this hoopla. Few remember that we heard nothing from the Japs after the Hiroshima bombing, but they got religion after the Nagasaki bomb. Even though it took them several more days to come around and we flew nearly
1,000 more B-29 missions on the Japanese homeland, we now know that Hirohito and his inner council were in heated discussion about how to bring an end to the war before we hit them with another one.

My reading of history tells me that President Truman sent them a message through the Swiss that Tokyo was next.

So, because the heroes that flew the 2nd mission get little recognition, I put this little PowerPoint show together to honor them. Please share as you see fit.
