Good day all:  Just a short note to let you know that the limited touring of the ole girl is a huge success!  Our Parks and Recreation Department and many Sub Vets are doing her proud.  What a glorious sight it is to see hundreds of people, young and old, quietly standing and sitting waiting to get an up close look at this magnificent machine with so much history pulsing through her nooks and crannies. When you're below and you listen hard enough, you can almost hear the voices of those past men who sailed her into the darkness and unknown of the seas to keep us all free and safe.

Over 300 people a day have patiently awaited their turn to be toured through her.  We can not thank all of you enough for your continued support and look forward to each of you getting to experience what so many have gotten to do this last week.

After our tours end on Sunday, she will remain in the RiverWalk area where she is now for a few days, then she will be brought back to our "sub base" for final conversion to a museum piece.  We will be keeping our website updated with current information.  Be looking for new photographs and slide shows of the Grand Homecoming event that will soon be posted.

Now, on to something important.  Today I got a call from a very excited woman by the name of Linda Jenkins Duncan from Colorado.  She'd only just today heard about the Razorback being here.  Her father served aboard her during World War II and his name was Lavergne Jenkins.  She is not sure what his job was, nor was she sure of his dates of service, but thought it to be "when the boat was very new in World War II."  She needs information, she wants to know all she can about her dad and his job and to meet someone who may have served with him.  She has many old pictures that are not labeled.  Sadly, her dad passed away ten years ago so he never got to see his old friend come home, but she wants to do it for him.  Can any of you help?  If you have any info for her, just email me and I will provide you her contact number.

With thanks for all you've done,
